scenic photo`s for us to Model

There are a few nice areas around about with good modeling potential, gives us an idea or three as well.

Those are great pics for us to model railroad road bed. Not very many pictures out there that show a length of track like that. Thanks for the pics. They will go into my archive.

One of these will be going on Garahbara MKII somewhere too. (fence and telephone wires as well). Maybe not that long, but something akin to it.

Guys,I was looking at the picture of the bridge and am wondering what purpose the pionted center track is for?

Hi belg, the center rail is to help keep any derailment on the bridge and not in the river /canyon/ or basement floor.

When we did our yard trip we noticed most dead end tracks had the buffer, and not hornes as pictured below.
More to think on when modeling a yard?

On Chris's shot of the bumper, note how the track bends down at the end (and the extra rails are straight). Suggests that it's been hit a few times with a bit of force -- or are they trying to match it to coupler height?
