This is a rather weird question but I've been here long enough I doubt that is anything new coming from me. :mrgreen:
Anyway...
I like a time effecient method to make the effect of hexagonal "scales" on the armor of a vehicle I'm working on for a friend.
Since I do not print out my models like most people here and build purely by hand I need something or a technique to put hexagonal scales on various parts of the armor of this 1:87 scale model.

Something if I dry brush after priming it in black it'll show up as this pattern.
