Russian Battleship Andrei Pervozvannyi, GPM-142, 1:200

I started a new project yesterday.

It´s the russian Battleship Andrei Pervozvannyi, GPM-142, 1:200.

Build in 1905 in St. Petersburg.
Displacement 18.600 to.
Length 140.2 m,
width 24.38 m,
gauge 7.92 m.

speed 18 Knots
crew 956 men

destroyed 1919 ...................

yesterday I made all formers, doubled with 2mm cardboard

after that I assembled the decks.....

the cardboard in the middle is a spacer for the next parts, it´s for allignment the decks in a proper way.....

Meanwhile I started with the skin............the difficult sections, bow and stern, are still covered.............

the hardest part is done...........

the hardest job is done...........the hull is finished (nearly)

and unfortunately a fold near the bow...........I hope a bit weathering and a nice anchorchain will cover tha..........

here is the status for the weekend, the superstructure of that ship is very interesting, at least because of the two independent casemate sections

all small uncleanliness will be covered after mounting the railing and doing a bit weathering..................

Very nicely done, flu! There are a lot of folds and curves in that casemate...a tricky bit, but you did it masterfully.

I am impress you did so well for those curving casemate. I always spoil them... Maybe I will try next time to split teh casemate and teh main body first when building...
