Sorry for my inactivity, but I have not been able to settle to any one project lately. Then on Tuesday may 10th I pulled a muscle in my back, so that put a stop to the heavy work outside. Sooooo, now that I have some time, and not moving around so much, I started a new car. I did a repaint on the RR, I didn't like the green it came in so I repainted in a grey that is close to the silver that was used on the real car.

This is what I got done in the last 2 days:

I am sorry to hear that you hurt your back. I hope that you make a strong and speedy recovery!
As for the RR. You are off to a great start! I am looking forward to seeing how this turns out (especially with the repaint).

As a back injury patient, I can sympathize with you. Hope yours gets better soon, and the model is looking lovely.

Half of my back is made of Titanium, I don't know how the rest of it is doing, or where it's at! :)

I like that you have detailed the engine so much. This really helps the model come to life, and it is. If you buy a tube of Black "Flex-Seal" and paint the tires with a brush, the results will blow your mind. :)
 
Very nice, clean build!! These guys make nice models. ;)
 
Next up: I got the wheels installed, part of the running boards, the steering wheel, and the hood.
NOTE: if you build this model, I suggest you make the hood hinge strips longer. I had a very hard time trying to glue them in place.

You did a flawless job with it. I think the designers could have aded jmuch detail. You could haave added the details too, like raising, or cutting out panels, and making them look like the storage compartments they are, insteead of relying on graphics. You could build this model again, and greeble it to life, pain the tires with rubber sealant so they look rubber, make the steering "steer'. That would take a heluva lot longer. The model looks great as it is. You not sure you enjoyed it may be because of the detailing being graphic, not actual pieces. You probably are ready for more difficult cars. I know of a few if you let me know what vintage you are looking for. Lots of free car models can be greebled so that the model file you find is just the basis of what you end up building. ;)

Z my dream car is the '68 Pontiac Firebird 400, in dark green. My oldest brother bought one his senior year in high school ('78)
Ahole traded it for a ragged out Honda goldwing 500.:realmad:
