Rogue one Tie Striker design thread

This weekend I did also some drawing on the fuselage bottom.

Next up is the front laser gun and the lining on the fuselage.
For more progress you have to keep an eye on this thread.

Finaly I started to cut the wings.

Tomorow I will glue the wing together.
Then I will start to cut some new designed parts for the hinge. Hopefully all parts will fit.

Today I build the first test wing. And I made some modifications on the hinge. After building the wing I changed the drawing some parts dudn't end up the way I planned.
So here are some pictures.

The only thing is the wings are to heavy so I need a wedge to keep the wing in position.

Also I tested a new sphere I will show it next time. Happy easter!

attached you will find new pictures of the strikers progress.
Removable main hatch.

And the bottom parts.
Only thing its mounted in the wrong way. Rear should be the front.
Its not a big problem I can still test build all the parts.

Next up Making minor adjustments in the drawing. And designing the front bottom laser gun.

Yes it is indeed. Also I found a way to preform the half sphere.

Im glad I didnt throw all the kid toys away. Its from my daughters wooden kitchen. Dont say it to her!!!

Its a good day to work on this project. This picture shows the rear end with the Ion engine. I wish all my sphere did look like this one.

This is what I hoped to see. Im verry happy with this result so now I can focus on the details and coloring the model.

I have the 1/72 one. That one is quite a nice size.

This evening I worked on the wings I hope the weight is lower so the wing can hold the position. No pics yet.

Also I made the rear hatch and attached the wing mount.

Tomorow I will test the new wings. If they are still to heavy I will try to put some glue on the wooden stick.
