Here's a link I found on American Railroad History, mostly the Rock Island. I said in a thread sometime ago that Jesse James robbed a Rock Island train. I was told I was wrong. Here's the proof that I am not! http://www.rootsweb.com/~iapottaw/railroads.htm

Vindication! I've driven by Adair and believe I saw a historical marker there commemorating the train robbery.

Never knew that tidbit about The Rock. Of course I really don't all that much about anything relating to railroads, as I am very green when it comes to all of this.
