Prometheus "(SPOILER ALERT!!!)"

Agreed! IMO they have all gone downhill after Aliens. Great looking ship,

I watched the trailer..... The "Alien" ship at the end, looks strikingly familiar....

There is so much similarity to the original Alien movie.......

I haven't seen the new movie, but I have an idea what the outcome is gonna be......

But, I may be surprised and wrong

In space, nobody can hear you SCREEAaa.... sign1

of course there is...it's the prequel

Duh, stupid me.. hamr:oops:

:oops::oops::oops::oops:

I should research my research a bit better.... :)

I blame it on the Discovery..... I'm going nuts.......

(Getting older and too many visits to the "Coffeeshop", may be primary causes too..... sign1 )

Not really a prequel:
" ...they developed a separate story that precedes the story of Alien but is not directly connected to that franchise. According to Scott, though the film shares "strands of Alien's DNA, so to speak", and takes place in the same universe, Prometheus will explore its own mythology and ideas."
But close enough. sign1

Heelllloooooooo?

Come on people.... The plastic model world is screaming out for these models...

Let the paper universe prevail........!!!

More pics as teasers....

They haven't developed a word for a movie that is "sidling" on another previous movies same reality. There ware many World War 2 movies, I don't know that sequel and prequel would apply, though timeline would. I like this franchise, and would welcome more movies in it's storyline. Sigourney hit the wall, and there is always more room in any universe for another story. Deep Space 9 couldn't be called a sequel or prequel to any of the Star Trek movies or series.

I would got absolutely crazy if somehow, a series in this storyline was made, imagine that! It'll never happen though. :)

Well, I screened Prometheus last night....
It was profoundly disappointing.
Only minutes into the movie I was mumbling to myself, under my breath, "stupid, stupid, stupid". If those were the best scientists and crew the Earth could muster, well then we deserve, as a species, to die.
Whether this is the prequel to Alien, or not, on its own merits it stank, royally.
Plot holes you could park a mountain in...
Choppy editing...
No suspense...
No surprises...
Horrid plot devices...
Awful character development...

*sigh* think I'll go watch the original Alien again to get the taste out of my eyes.

I watch these movies for the Props. (Ships, weaponry, etc) ;)

I agree...I had a friend say,"Two hours of my life I'll never get back....." Major script problems...scientists not acting like scientists....looks good in 3D I'll bet.....
