What would be my best choice for a power supply dcc wise for a layout that is 3'by 8' n scale any input would be great. thanx

Hmmmmm.
I'm inclined to bet that the Digitrax "Zephyr" would be a really good bet, as it's not too expensive, and is upgradable as your layout expands, whereas some other systems aren't. This is the system I intend to get at some point.
Others will likely have more useful advise than me.
