I would like to add some wildlife to my HO 50's era steam branch line---and something like some pigeons would do the trick (regular birds would of course be too small,) Haven't found a "pigeon" source---anyone have some ideas?

Hey Warren - Go to www.walthers.com and do a search for HO scale figures, keyword "bird" - I got one hit!
Hi Warren, If I recall correctly DynaModels made/makes some cast metal HO pidgeons. They might be just a bit heavy to sit on the telephone lines but they could sit on the pole's crossarms. Of course you wouldn't want to park your rolling stock under it
I could be wrong, but doesn't Preiser have some pigeons? (Or maybe they were chickens I saw!

I ordered some foxes and chickens from Musket Miniatures, they had quite a diverse selection too, but now I can't find the HO animals on their durned website..................

Thanks everyone....for the suggestions. Will follow them all up (Didn't see a Preiser listing for pigeons but will check again.) Wasen't it John Allen who did those beautifully detailed layouts and added little things like pigeons? You could look at pictures of his layouts time after time and see something "new" everytime you looked......again thanks!
