Picture of the week... Picture of the YEAR???

Just like in the title.

Can we have a picture of the year? 52 selections and a list to vote from?

Who will have the honor?

Edit. Ok I have created a listing and adjusted the dates to reflect accurately when what was featured. Unfortunately we only have 6 months of pictures but on the plus side they are amazing pictures. There WILL be a prize from myself that I hope can continue on in years following. Voting will end on January 14th 2007 at Midnight. So everyone have a look and vote. I will update this. A vote will be considered by stating the picture's number to the left and saying 'I vote #' to finalize your vote [People who have already voted clearly have had their votes already marked and noted, the statement only makes the vote concrete for record keeping].

There was a pretty big hunk of the year (before Ashrunner assummed command) where there wasn't a pic of the week it was more like pic of the month or quarter. I personally vote for the cool black helicopter! :twisted:

Aircraft are my first love, but I really have to give my vote to Flu's Locomotive. GB's Bristol Fighter and Ashrunners Delphin are close runners up though.

Will is correct, until Ashrunner took over as POTW guy, we at best had a pic every so often

We can try to produce a poll, currently I believe we are limited to 10 questions, so I will have to check if I can increase the number of posts.

I have filed all the POTW in the Gallery under Hall of Fame.

I had discussed with Rick a while back about having a POTY vote, but spaced it. Must be an age thang. But with that in mind, why not start it now. Just go to the Hall of Fame in the Gallery, make your selection and post the title of the pic here. I believe I have all of them titled by the date they held the honor.

At the end of January, we'll tally up the votes and the winner will be crowned Picture of the Year and run for the month of February under than banner.

Oh..and the winner will receive...Braggin' Rights!

Looking at it objectively I think I have to vote for July 30-Aug 5 Milihistories Cutty Sark. It more than any other pic makes me say, "That's paper?!".

This is not an easy decision they are all very good models. My choice would be Fluthecrank’s Modelik OL 49. A very complex model well executed and nicely photographed.
