Hey everyone. Normally I work on Sci fi projects but a friend of mine asked me to make a piano so here it is.

This is the lower base. Note the foot pedals they actually move.

Keyboard with greebled black keys.

Right side glued on with side "wings" folded back and glued.

Keyboard cover mounted above the keyboard. The cover slides back inside of the piano.

More pics.

Lower leg close up.

This shows the back side. Note the side bars inside that help to guide the keyboard cover in place.

Back cover added.

Lower attachments below keyboard, but above foot pedals. If you see the white circles above the keyboard there were supposed to be knobs. However, the recipient of the model took one look and said "I like it as it is!". Obviously, I gave in to their demands to leave the model alone. There is also a bench. I'll probably add it later. As well as some sheet music per the new owner's request.

The piano on it's new home.

Here's the link for the model.

It's called a "Reed Organ" designed by K. Yoshinaka.

Hope you enjoyed the pics.

That's pretty cool. If you could find one of those wind up mechanisms that plan a song on a revolving drum, you could mount in on the inside on a hardwood, and it would resonate nicely in there. ;)

Yes I believe that it would, but the music mechanism that's being held would be too big the piano couldn't be any bigger than about 4 in tall. Still an interesting thought. Thanks for stopping on by Z!

I have oneof those mechanisms around 2.5" square, and around 1.5" thick overall. They make them even smaller!! :)

New pics - Bench and sheet music.

The new owner requested that I make a bench and provide some sheet music.
upload_2017-10-23_12-16-35.jpeg

The sheet music is entitled "Love Lifted Me". For the sheet music I found a jpeg from a hymn book and in MSPaint scaled it down to the size of the sheet music holder on the template. That's all there was to it.

Will send the pics of everything together when the new owner sends them to me.

That's it for now.

You do know that is a pump organ, not a piano, which usually had three foot pedals. Looks great never the less. I play a little Piano, enough to help me figure out Violin passages.;)

Yes. The original title is "Reed Organ". The new owner decided that they liked the device without the knobs. The picture above shows the inspiration for the model VERY clearly. Thanks for sharing Z!
