On a crisp autumn morning in 1941, Hudson Highlands #293, one of the railroad's oldest camelbacks, has drawn a small peddler freight assignment that includes switching Putney Coal.

A pair of U boats awaiting assignment at Kingsport's William's Yard. The unit to the left without a PC logo is based on a prototype photo. Over the years there were all matter of logo sizes on locomotives and several units of various types that never received the PC lettering at all.

CNJ999:Beautiful Scenery, is that one of the new Athearn Fords?

Yup. Picked up a couple at the LHS on Friday. Very nice models but difficult to fit into a layout scene unless all the other vehicles are really first class looking.

Thought I would post some pics of my newest N scale loco. The pictures are pretty bad,but I'm posting them anyway.

By the way the loco is the new Bachmann B23-7.It has a few styling issues but it is a decent runner.

By the way for those so inclined the little bugger is DCC ready.

Oh and it will get a stablemate in the form of a CSX unit and this one is going to be patched for CSX.

Gus:wav:, FANTASTIC SCENERY!:thumb: GREAT SHOTS!

Johnathan:wav:, NICE B23-7!:thumb: UP still has a couple of those, they have stripped the fuel tanks off them, painted them gray and use them as remote control units. i was considering buying one of Bachmanns(in HO) and making it into a remote control unit, problem is i have 1000 projects ahead of doing it:oops:tooth1.
So your going to patch it for CSX, PLEASE post it after you patch it, i would love to see it!:thumb: -Deano

As usual, a great selection of photos from all, and like good coffee, always fresh! :thumb: :thumb:
One question: Gus, how about a little more info on that nice-looking steamer coming through the cut?

Here's my offering for the week, a rebuilt CPR GP9, caught at Kinnear Yard (formerly of the TH&B) in the east end of Hamilton, Ontario. I saw it, and a half-dozen others, on my way home from an open house at the former TH&B main station, in downtown Hamilton.
