I saw a pic(It may have been here!) of the prototype car with that same paint on it. The "tagger" was good enough to at least re-paint the reporting marks back on.
I'll join in the MOW theme... A Tyco crane originally in a Santa Fe scheme is painted to fit in with my Penn Central layout. I like the safety yellow ladder on the back of that CR crane Charlie and may add one to mine.
I went to Wal-Mart the other day and got a quart of flat latex the same color as the WS blended turf I use in my scenery. Today I put it to the test. I paint an area then sprinkle on some blended turf. What would have taken an hour or more now takes about ten minutes.
I took those pictures 2 months ago.
I was doing my daily railfanning trip down the road, it was freezing cold and I realized I didn't have any kleenex in my pocket.
No problem, that nice CN MOW employee gave me one.
They even clean the pedestrian path that crosses the track.
Not MOW related, but it was fun.
I tried some weathering tip for streaked lettering. I drybrushed my CPR boxcar using the same color as the base boxcar color . In my case the CPR action red.
You'll be the judges.
