Wayne, THANKS!, for the insight on that "hopper?":thumb: , i had no clue as to what it originally was/could have been. all i know is i have seen that car three times in WSOR consists, the first two times it was about smack in the middle of covered hoppers, this last time it was on the tail end of covered hoppers, with a gon and some boxcars after it. i too noticed this car had ballast type discharges on it, yet i have NEVER seen it with or anywhere near ballast cars, only covered hoppers, this is quite an interesting car:winki::mrgreen: .Deano, that BRC car looks a lot like the CN taconite cars that used to run into Hamilton, Ont., although that one looks like it's been fitted with ballast hoppers.
Wayne
Josh, i currently have two flag units, an ES44AC and an AC4400:winki::mrgreen: .Those are some GREAT pics Deano!!! There is something about UP locos with the flag logos on them that i just cant resist, yet i still dont have any HO locos with the flags on them![]()

Tom, i wish i had more WP to show you, but all the WP i have taken pics of is in the "Fallen Flag Freight" thread already:winki: . i think its neat you have that car, if you get a chance post a pic of it:winki::smilie: .SWEET! More WP please!
Funny, I have a model of that car, and with the weathering on it, it looks like the real 12076.
Thanks Deano! :thumb:
THANKS Josh:smilie::mrgreen:BEAUTIFUL Units Deano!!!
Say, i have a KATO UP SD90/43MAC #8059 and soon to be another KATO UP SD90/43MAC #8105, do any of the UP SD90/43MAC's units have flags on them do you know? :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
Gus, my friend:smilie: , you always say the kindest things, THANK YOU:smilie: .Deano...Every time you post there's something (or a lot..) that's fresh and new..!! :thumb:
That hopper sure is different...And that Hiawatha observation car is AWESOME..!!! You should build a whole consist...That train was one of the passenger classics...And who better to have one..!!! :mrgreen:
THANK YOU Wayne:smilie: , and your right, it IS a GREAT looking car:thumb: , so darn neat i couldn't not have it:mrgreen: . the whole set is supposed to replicate the 1955 Twin Cities Hiawatha, way to new for you, and i am sorry, but i cant remember what year/s nutbar is modelingGreat looking car, Deano. Mister Nutbar and I saw them at my LHS, and they're very nicely rendered, although too modern for either of us.
Wayne
THANKS JIM!:smilie:Very Sharp:thumb::thumb:
Banned eh...seems your wife might not even be "on track", could be derailed:eeki: , seems to me sometimes you have to give a little to get a little:winki: , perhaps a nice night out to dinner and a movie might help her get back "on track", and better your chances in getting the highball to getting what you were looking for:winki::mrgreen: .Deano , ya got me in trouble. Wife caught me sufing Brodway limited cars on rbay(for my RGZ):mrgreen: she keeps telling me I'm banned, but I think she on a different track, mine has a green high ball:twisted:
Triplex, when Wayne told me he thought it was a ballast car, i 100% believed him:thumb: , the bottom discharges really gives it away, i just think its so odd that of the three times i seen that car, it was with covered hoppers, no other ballast cars in the consist.BRC 1954 is... well, cute. Looks like a ballast car to me, too, not a covered hopper.
Sure thing Deano, as soon as I get back to town, I'll try to remember to dig it out and snap some shots of it. :thumb:
