Old B/W photo`s L&PS

Wow! Great pictures Chris. That one on the trestle reminds me of back around the late 40's, I used to visit a aunt in Portland Or. The street car ran right behind her house way up on a Berm? I think that's what it is called. I could sit in her back yard and watch them go by all day.

I love those electric boxcab locos. They look like little bulls - almost bursting with energy.

Chris, here is a Swiss version of such a boxcab. (Sorry, only a model photo, didn't find one of the real thing at the moment.)

It's a 'Be 4/4' (B -> top speed 90 km/h = 55 mph, e -> electric, 4/4 -> 4 axles, all powered) of the (don't laugh!) EBT. :confused:

No, it's not the East Broad Top - here in Switzerland this means 'Emmental - Burgdorf - Thun'. These lokeys pulled many a freight train loaded with Emmental Swiss cheese! :D)
