Ron Caudillo submitted a new resource:

Novelty tank firework fold lines - Pattern of a novelty tank firework

If you can't enjoy your own store bought fireworks, you can at least build them! I bought several novelty firework types, carefully opened them up and scanned them. You can print them out and build them. Of course you may want to build some simulated firecracker type cylinders to make it look more authentic.

This download shows the fold lines much better than the top side so it will help you to build it. In addition, you can trace the lines and get a blank pattern to texture yourself!...

I resized the image and put it in your post. This way people can see what your talking about, maybe ask questions. ;)

Here is the first one:

What is it???
The fold and some of the cut lines on the novelty tank fireworks can be hard to see to know where to fold them so I noticed that on the back side the lines are more pronounced. I scanned the back side and it should help you to know where to fold them. In addition, I have plans (add to my ever growing stack of projects...lol) to measure and draw them in CorelDraw to create a blank template for anyone to texture as they wish.

I still have no idea what this is supposed to be... Is it something like this:

???

(Really, I'm not kidding; I am at a loss with this...)

Yep! You got it! That's what these first resources look like (small tanks) when assembled. There are 4 different shades of green, a tan one, and a red-white-blue one. The image above that Zathros added is from one of the downloads. It shows the back side of the pattern so you can see the folds and cuts easier and is not meant to be downloaded to assemble. That would make a really ugly model! You can download the real patterns in the Everything Else resources.

Ahhh, thank you! :)

I did understand that it was the back of the card you scanned but I was wondering how the part would look like when assembled. I have never seen anything like that before. Our fireworks comes in batteries, shaped like 6-packs, not shaped like a tank! :D :)

In some of our states, fireworks are illegal to purchase or are severely restricted to what can be bought or possessed (not that it really stops anyone...lol). Other states allow you you to purchase quite a variety of them from multi-shot mini cannons to firecrackers. The novelty fireworks have always had a special appeal to me, guess it was the paper model that was used like these tanks.

In Germany it is allowed to sell fireworks only in the final weeks of December (small items like squibs and wonder candles are available throughout the year though). Everything else (rockets, batteries, grenades and a-bombs :D ;) ) requires a special approval or has to be organized and rigged up by specialists. :)
