Nov 16, 2007 Weekly Foto Phun!

Larry... 23 cars is twice as long as anything I could ever run on my layout:winker:

BTW..I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all of your informative posts and threads about the way real RR's work.:thumb: I (and others) have thoroughly enjoyed them and have learned a lot!

Thank You:thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb::thumb:

100 Cars long!

The talk of long trains got me wanting to try this. My HO layout sidings can handle an engine and 4 cars, so I knew I would never have a long train there. The N scale club layout, however, has over a mile on each track so I decided to try it. It was fun up to 80 cars, but after that it was work keeping the gray coal cars on the track, I added a couple of mid-train helpers after the automax's and that helped, but three laps was enough. I took pictures after the third lap and then broke up the train

Nice pics to everyone!!
Nice locos Smoke...Gotta love those "What if's".
See a lot of homes this week. Has anyone ever scratchbuild, kitbash, scratchbash their OWN house?

Here's mine...
The first is the real house.
The second pic is a scratchbash originally started as "City Classics Company Homes"

Neat shots! The old pumper number 6 looks a lot like the horse-drawn steam pumper that my father was a crew member on when he was young and served with the S.M. Vauclain Fire Company. The steamer was donated by Mr. Vauclain the president of Baldwin Locomotive to the fire company along with the space that was used as the firehouse on Baldwin property.
