I like that "...the ship out ran them." That's funny.

Then again, they said the boats were inflatible, but the one i saw on the TV looked like a Boston Whaler.

I read on another forum that the captain said he tried to run over them, but missed. Some inflatables will really move out, like the ones the Navy Seals and Marines amphibious assault teams use. I doubt the Somali pirates have big enough motors to get any speed out of theirs.
