Hey I see you found your way over to here, a little bit easier to post pics here. Don't know if this will help, but thought I'd mention: A few times to lay rails on a bridge like you will have to do. I would peel off some of the tie strip (about 10 ties) flip it over and kinda snap it onto the top of the rails for a real cheap gauge. You can slide it back and forth as you glue down the rail.
Other ways to do it, but might help along with nmra gauges.
