Greetings :) I am new to card modeling. I figured I would start with this with my new 8 year old daughter (adopted her in January). So far I am liking it far more vs just building models. I was directed to this site from Jay's Box. Building a few of his models and they are really sweet, easier, and quicker to build with my daughter. Any advice on good models for kids to do on their own?

Welcome aboard and congratulations on giving a child a home and a family. It takes a lot of courage and love to do such a beautiful act.:thumb::cool:
You'll find many models in this page http://cp.c-ij.com/en/contents/1006/ all with different levels of difficulty. Of course, there are many more pages in the internet, like www.papercraftsquare.com, and you won't believe on how many models you'll be able to find there.
I hope this helps,

Rogério

Hello and welcome to the forum. Congratulations on your adoption.
As for models that are child friendly, you can find many of them here: http://cp.c-ij.com/en/contents/1006/

If you have any finished models, by all means, please post photos of them. Not only that, but please post build threads of your (and your daughters) current (and up coming) projects.

If you have any questions, comments, concern, or need help or advice, please feel free to ask, and we will do what we can to help you (or at least point you in the right direction).

Once again, welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy yourself here.

Only one so far :)

I have printed out a few so far that we will be building over the next couple of weeks. So far we have only made the Jem Hadar fighter. She helped until it was time for her to go to bed. This little one took only 3 hours to finish. The Borg cube is next for her. I am going to try and make the tri hulled Prometheus with magnets next.

She has turned into a Trekkie and loves DS9 ;)
