Looks like you're workin hard. I would look into some scenery manufacturers that specialize in roads.

I know I'm not looking forward to laying roads ....

In that last pic, is the road under construction? That why the car is stopped to the right, as the car on the left is driving through?

yes- if you look, there is another bridge being built- the pic above that might show it better
