I've been getting into R/C helicopters cause of their "real" helicopter handling. My next one will have "Collective". My latest has cyclic. :)

Awesome ! Thinking of getting a drone to fly when filming our RC videos. They are just expensive...time to save up!

Good luck flying.

Drones are nice, but if you lose power, and your way up, you really have to hope that it is set up well enough to come down safely. You really lose control, and I have seen some expensive ones turn into 4 motors and a camera. At least with a big copter, there is the chance of auto-rotation. Have fun, they definitely are pretty cool.

I would think about getting a remote motion compensating camera that would allow you to film while moving, pan and tilt, zoo, etc. That would really make the trail experience "down to Earth". :)
