Modular Plan - help required

I have seen the "deck girder on an Atlas TT" idea before. You would then scenick the turntable deck to look like the floor of the pit. It would of course rotate as the TT rotates, but the scenicking would help disguise its origins when the TT was stopped.

Neat idea.

Proto for Atlas TT

Although I am not aware of an exact prototype for the Atlas TT I believe that some turntables in very snowy regions had the pit covered so that it didn't have to be shoveled out after every good snowstorm.
