Yes a lot of the main structure is but in the end the details are the fun part.It takes about 8 hours to do one. It,s cut out 3 times one pattren sheet 2 for the front and back and the insert. So I,m cutting out 4000 dimples. Then theres the sanding and filler and paint. But I think it will be worth it in the end.And I thought building 5 F1s and 6 J2 engines for the 1/48 Sat V was repititious....
The girlfriend is fine with it.In fact we are getting a 2 bedroom apt together this spring. So we have a room to do paper models together.Whoa! Thats big, hows the wife feel about hanging giant model parts on the wall?
I have been doing research.Looking at different paper and paints to get the titanium and allumium right.I have a titanium watch and when I ask the sales people I want the paper to look like this. They give me a strange look.Part of paper modeling I guess .LOLHey bud...I haven't seen any new photos in a while, must be busy busy making aaaalllllll those dimples. I'm sure you've probably thought of this but how about building a hundred or so, go work on some thing else for a while then come back to them, kinda switching on and off, should break up the monotony a bit.
Just thinking out loud.
