Model of Meritorious Mention: Jans ALIENS APC M-557

I really like how you made the whole turret system (including the rail system).
All of the "FUNCTIONING" details that you have put into this model really sets it apart from all the rest.

Second that, and adding: your model is so darn great, it will be a shame not to have it RC... But I understand it would take a lot of work to do so... :thumb: :cool:

As of now, the APC is done and I will take a break from it. I am glad that you have enjoyed the build thread and also for all of your constructive comments.

Thanks for looking in. The only thing that could have been done to electrified this kit, would have been the lightning. Even with all of the interior details, it could have been lighted up. Now for RC, it would mean no interior details except for maybe the drivers position.



The model is finished and only things left are options, like the crew hanging around, A mechanics bay diorama, or whatever the imagination can think of. I still have the Tamiya figures to consider for it. Last item I attached, were the handles which I made from paper clip wire.

I have other models that could probably sell, like my horse drawn coaches, but I have a hard time selling stuff. If I started to sell my models, then it would no longer be a hobby but a job. I just enjoy in the build and in the sharing. Thanks for the idea though.

Anyhows, I said that he main model is finished but I had to remake the front gatling turret, The one from the printed plan is not quite right. The rest of the turret re-build will be in the next posting.:thumb:

It isn't as bad as you think (yet) - I have paid 1000 Cubits in advance in UHU's Viper thread meaning that I still had 940 Cubits left for swearing. I said "had" because I accidentally sweared on UHU's thread again today..! :mrgreen::mrgreen::mrgreen:

I am not sure if I understand the translation but if it means that my details will be available as a separate download, probably not. I made those details as I built the APC.

There are some details That I would like to make later on but for now, this should be the last APC detail that I will do.



So here is the new turret for the APC, it sits lower below the top plate and it seems scaled to the reference photos. You can make out the new turret as a better version than the original plans. For the next few days, I will probably post a bit less, due to my visiting family and friends and I will not have access to my tools of the trade. I will post the last photos of the APC as I get to them so until next posting, enjoy.:thumb:

Just Frakkin Fabulous Silver, I know all about your hobby becoming work, I tried that once, and didn't build a model again for 3 years after I finished my last commission.
