It is time for another update. This time, it is the track system. I will be making these to look as close to the "real" vehicle as possible.

Here are the parts for the tracks. In order to get the "realist" effect that I want, I am using two sets of the "outside" tracks.

I cut out all of the black squares (that are actually holes).

On the reverse side, I painted the cross sections black.

I cut the long strips and laminated them to the inside of the tracks and off set them so that they will hold the two halves of the tracks together. .

The one set of the tracks are assembled.

Both sets of the tracks are assembled.

Here are the parts for the wheels, wheel mounts and track plates

Both sets of the regular wheels and the "drive" wheels are assembled.

The wheels are attached to the mounting plates

The tracks and pads are attached.

The tracks are in place.

Here is the final installment of photos for this build!

These are the parts for the lights and weapons system.
20210120_165811.jpg

Here are the lights. I did attach metal posts inside the light posts.

The lights are attached. I made the holes for the metal posts a bit too big. So, unfortunately, the lights will not rotate.

Moving on to the weapons system. I recessed the black rectangle (where the barrels are mounted).

The turret is finished. I recessed the four black squares that are on the top piece.

Excellent work!

I was just now thinking about Micro Machines and how these would be fun to scale down even further. Maybe to 1:200 scale. Go for walnut size!

Thank you!!!
As for making it "Micro Machine" size, that would be very interesting to see. You would have to use printer paper for it.

Now he needs to make both the Viper Mk I and the Thunderfighter Mk I in 1/50th to go with these... :bulgeeye:
Actually, I have made both the Viper Mk I and the Thunderfighter (granted, it was the "HAPPY BIRTHDAY BUCK" version) in 1:50 scale.
With that being said, I do have plans to rebuild them for the dioramas that I have planed.
