May 24 Weekend!

Well i hope your weather is a little better in the east than it is here. We got a heck of a wind out here and it is 8*C not supposed to warm up until Monday. Oh well maybe we will make it out to the lake on Monday as friends just got a brand new Pontoon boat.
The weather has been up and down faster than a prostitute on a 2 for 1 tuesday...or something like that. So who knows what we are in for. Either bright and sunny, cold and sunny, cold and rainy, or snowing haha.
I plan on visiting my Dad in the hospital, and there are train tracks runnin right by it. I might take some pictures for my own reference.
I finished a walther's cornerstone building last night, the Benson's Five and Dime. My weathering job sucks like the aforementioned entertainment engineer with a sale.
Hopefully I will get some of the issues worked out on the track, to confirm my design, then start putting down the foam risers, and then start on the next model house.
All in all a busy weekend.

It's supposed to be cool in Toronto, around 15-19*C, which is perfect IMO. This is ideal weather for me -- you can still do things outside without roasting and sweating profusely !!
I plan to go on a family hike, do yardwork, more stuff with the kids, visit friends, etc.
And -- probably in the late-evenings -- I hope to add 1-2 lakes or ponds to my layout. I made a real mess with my Woodland Scenics "water" last night by being in too much of a hurry. I also had to rework a lot of my trackwork to solve derailments so I hope to tidy up those areas (which are really messy) by adding more ballast and "refreshing" the scenery.
Otherwise, have a happy May 24th weekend!

if there is a silver lining to this big black cloud of high priced gas it might be that folks will stay home and railway.

I agree: Canada is way too big for a puny measurement like a kilometre, and below freezing isn't cold like below (real) zero is. Metric was just a scam, anyways: first we had the same cans and packaging with metric quantities on the label, then we got metric containers, which looked similar to the old Imperial ones, but were smaller. Now we've got American measurements expressed in metric units. An Imperial gallon of paint (4.5 litres), became a 4 litre can of paint, now it's a 3.8 litre can of paint, which is the metric equivalent of an American gallon. And all the while, they keep jacking up the price. We are a bunch of Canuckleheads.
Now I'm in a bad mood: think I'll go for a drive. :mrgreen: :mrgreen:
