Hi I have a black rubber mold that I fill with plaster of paris to make rocks for mountains. The problem is I have trouble at times getting it out of the mold without it cracking. Any one have any suggestions for making this job easier. Thanks in advance.

molds

I generally use a spray of soapy water, just to get it wet, then pour the POP. It works for me. I have even used WD-40, very light coating. Make sure the mold is clean before you pour. Lots of luck.

Hydrocal or sculptamold ,either are a better product to use than plaster of paris. their stronger and dry slower making them much easier to work with.
