Gus,

Simply assign the loco to the jump throttle from the start. If you need to use the function keys for lights or whatever, simply cycle through until the appropriate loco is on the display. The engine still runs from the jump throttle, but uses the keys on the Zephyr for functions.

Hi,
Andrew, the problem is the jump throttles are at a fixed position which is not near the yard, so I can't exit the yard using them. I have to turn them over once they're out of the yard and visible to the jump throttle controller.

You could always use the "steal loco" function - have the jump throttle "steal" the loco from the Zephyr unit...
