Life Like body shells

After months of browsing I finally get round to making my first post, and yes I need your help folks.

I picked up a LL GP38-2 (I'm pretty sure it is anyway) because it was a bargain but it obviously wont fit in with my late 50's B&O layout (no matter how much I freelance it).

So the question is, will an earlier model loco body fit on the same chassis and if so which ones?

It would also be appreciated if you could recommend any sellers of body shells and detailing parts who will ship to Scotland.

The only GP models that would fit your time frame would be a GP7 or GP9. Even if you would stretch it, and would get a GP18 (introduced in 1959) you are out of luck since that model is the same size as a 7 or 9 and smaller than a GP38-2.

Thanks Roland, maybe I'll remove some of the detail parts and repaint the old shell black or grey and pretend it is a prototype on a secret run out :thumb:
