Does anybody know a source of affordable LEDs, especially white? I want to start replacing some bulbs with LEDs. And if anybody knows a good constant intensity light circuit for a engine where the motor is electrically connected to the frame (as in most of my N Gauge engines) could you pass that on too?
This is a sellers list of the ones I'm currently auctioning on Ebay, but if you're interested, PM me and we can probably work something out on the side
there's a company called Mouser in California that has just about anything electronic including blue and white LEDs, switches and most anything else you might need.
Another source that's here in Arizona but does have a web site http://www.web-tronics.com/ and an 800# is Circuit specialists. If they have what you want, it will usually be about as cheap as you can get, possibly with the exception of an auction site. But if all you need are small quantities, either of these sources are OK.
When we had our electronics business we used both of them frequently.
Here is a company that makes MANY types of LED's. There web site is www.lumex.com I am trying to advoid Radio Shack because they are rumored to get out of the parts business. Becoming more like a Best Buy.
Hi Michael,
I get most of my electrical/electronic components (including lots of siingle and dual color diodes) from www.allelectronic.com. The prices can't be beat and the quality and delivery are good.
Take care, Jim
