Here is the latest on my Sn3 layout. I've got the track plan pretty much finialized. As you can see I made cardboard mock-ups of the major structures to help in laying out the design. The track design is based upon John Allen's "Timesaver". Any comments are more then welcome.

Looks to me like your off to a good start.My 0n30 layout is but a distant dream till I get some N scale stuff done.
 
I've installed the Homabed (glued and brad nailed) put in a thin coat of spackling paste. Now I just need to do a light sanding and sealing with paint and it's time to start laying ties.

Well, here it is one month later and I've got the ties laid and the mainline track spiked down. I'll be using a different color stain for the sidings and spurs (a grayish color to replicate older ties). For the mainline I used a Minwax stain called "Jacobean" for that newer tie look.
