There is nothing wrong with copying someone else's trackplan, especially if you ask first. My trackplan combined element's from different trackplans I found on the net.

I have a question on how you will be going from upper to lower level. It looks like where the two will be joining on the top of the picture, that the upper level goes over the top of a track on that level and then will go down to join lower level. Is this correct?

It's actually supposed to be underneath the other track.

Not a problem dad was just wondering how you would do that and what the incline would be. How much rail length will you have to go from one level to the next?
 
if you want to stay with a 2% grade, which is recommended you need 1/4 inch per foot. What we need to figure out is how much distance there will be between levels. I have never done a multi level layout so im not sure how big the upper should be. Also its hard to view the picture of the track plan, its to large. Is there a way to make it smaller for easier viewing. Not much smaller just maybe about 2/3 the size it is now.
 
Sorry dad the sleep monster got me last night. I have a few questions do you understand what i was saying about there only being 2 " between layers? Why do you want to go with the two layer layout?
 
Well dad if its on the same level and just raised on that level I think it should work out. The best I can tell you is what im going to do. I will be doing a dry run on my layout for my raised track just to make sure it works in real life and if it works I will go ahead with permanent install.
 
I'm having difficulty visualizing how the upper level relates to the lower level. If the 2 inch elevation we are talking about is just for a bridge to allow the upper level to pass over the lower level, that should work. If the upper loop is going to be over the top of the lower loop, you are really talking about a double level layout. In that case you need 18 inches even in n scale to allow room for scenery, and to separate the scenes from each other. Do you have a 3-d picture of your layout plan?
