Only a small updating and a little detour.

Last Sunday I followed the entire docking maneuver of the Dragon 2 capsule with the Space Station: a complicated ballet with a splendid ending. So I took a short break and I made the model that I downloaded from the website of Alfonso X Moreno. A simple model that makes perfectly the aspect of the real.
Meanwhile work on the supports continues ...

Some updates. All parts of the side supports are cut, glued, folded and ready to be assembled.

In two steps the final group of supports was assembled.





Now all 24 are complete and it's time to move on.

These thrusters are very, very small

I like punches but find they get dull fast. A small clean up goes a long way. As usual, your attention to detail shows that being precise produces the best quality models.

Slowly, very slowly the work on the Apollo command module goes on, and after completing the thrusters I can switch to another one.

The first tank is done. I don't understand why in the instructions and in the model everything seems so big, but when I'm doing the model's parts everything is so small. I think I have to do some walk to calm me down

When I first saw the Apollo Capsule, I thought it looked very small, and could not imagine 3 guys in there.

It's those small things that that I say "Oh hell no!" and run off to find a solid replacement part..and Greeble em!!

These components look great! You did a far better job than I could do.

Still other details for the after compartment. With these I completed the tanks:
In the first picture
in the first row four identical tanks (two for fuel and two for the oxidant) and the waste water tank
In the second two spherical tanks for the helium and the potable water tank



A detail of the two helium tanks


and all together in the palm of my hand to better render the proportions.



The two little boys gave me a hard time.
