what little I can see looks great, but I would like to see more and larger pictures (640x480). I really like SoCal and SP layouts, so more pictures please

Actually, I am!! sign1 I'm puzzled by your Era...It looks, due to the HEAVY weathering on most of the stuff, like the late 1950's, correct? The Caboose diorama is a seperate venture, right?

Also, you might want the extensive vining (very cool BTW!
) to start on the bottom of the building, and work it's way across the roof.
A suggestion: The athearn Streamliner is too new (in that era espically) to even begin rusting, as it's stainless steel. Could I make a suggestion of getting an OLD Time wood combine, or baggage, and putting it up in blocks?
Lastly, LET's SEE SOME MORE PICS!!! This looks great, and I'd love to see some of the city!! PLEEEEASEE?!

its not 50s but close 40/30s!,which building are you talking about?.yes the diorama is seperate.oh by the way this is sacramento calafornia,(not really tho i just like the name) no i dont have an engine house,i didnt have enough room or i would have put one

That immediately puts you in the mid 1950's. If you wish to backdate your layout, Here's a list of 1930's-1940's Steam engines that are SP prototype:
The Best of the bunch would be the IHC 2-6-0, which is modeled after the SP's Famous M-4 mogul. They pull well, look great and aren't expensive, look HERE:

Other ones include old MDC kits (their 0-6-0, their "Harriman" 4-4-2/2-6-2/2-8-0 series)

I didn't finish the doodlebug, because I scrapped the gutless Mehanotecnika motor, and put in the drive train from an Athearn GP-40. I'm planning to add sound with a cheapie MRC decoder, and Have dissected the shell, making one half an RPO (instead of the blanked out windows.) No progress photos yet..
What else do you wish to know?

just looked at them before you posted that lol ,next time i go to a train show im buyin a steam loco i already planned that soo maybe ill hide the gp9 and run it when no1s lookin anyway.....you have the same loco as me what era was your old layout(shortline)

It's 1958, the last year for steam on the MV&P, on my old layout.
My new layout can be flexible from 1940-1960, with 1955 being the year I'm aiming for,
