.....couldnt find a correct size bubble....so i made one.
the handle of my cutting blade was the correct diameter so i experimented with some plastic packaging.
by gently heating the plastic AROUND the spot i was pushing i found i could form a bubble....just make sure its fairly thick plastic...
started to make the base.....

...need to make the hydroponic garden and paint the tiny figures i have. i made a hatch door and have to also paint the airlock.
i'm planning on displaying it 3 ways...on planet surface (as in pics), landing gear down and in flight over planet.
i,ll make the landing gear and attach it to a ring that will fit the underside of the j2....hopefully

need to paint ramp and airlock (already pre-assembled) also trying to mimic the really bright and colorfull scenes (the director really went to town when the series went from b&w to color)
.....ohhh the pain

Your Jupiter 2 looks right at home on orange ground with orange skies. Kinda presages the '70's!

Very very nice job. Its great to see creative scratchbuilds and diorama presentations. It adds so much.

It almost makes me want to go back and re-watch a few episodes of LIS in living colour.

thanks for the kind comments guys
building the launch pad now.......
i have the full series on dvd ..... a mate of mine is so into lis that he calls it a documentary....hehehe
ever tried to make a 2cm robot 'cause thats my next task.....i need a de-bigulator

Jupiter II

I have one in my personnal file I found on line awhile back. I think it's small enough to send thru my account over here. I think you would like it. That is a great build from a classic scifi show.
