Iowa, Chicago and Eastern??

Son in law tells me he saw a couple of diesels in the KCS yard in Kansas City the other day maked for the Iowa, Chicago and Eastern.

Can anyone shed any more light on this outfit? General route (please don't tell me Iowa, Chicago and east from there )
