Just talked to regional HR about my ADA accommodation request, and I will most likely be placed on "Leave of Absence" until my disability kicks in. at least I have private disability insurance that kicks in after 2 weeks, and pays until SSDI kicks in. The company I work for has decided that my 20# lifting and 20 degree back flexion are restrictions that they can't accommodate. So now I burn PTO days waiting.

Saying goodbye to my job of 14 years, and my carrier of 26 plus years, as of 10 AM EDT this morning, I am on medical "Leave of Absence" The company is supposed to come and pick up the truck tomorrow morning.

This truck has been my office and home away from home for over 18 months, 2 sets of tires, 3 brake jobs, and thousands of gallons of fuel. I will miss seeing it every morning.

I filled for my disability insurance today, Now I wait for answers.
