I didn't know I was a model designer...

So I have been into gunCAD for a few years and 3d printing. A friend in my fraternity asked me if I could print a tractor. So I said sure and found a simple tractor online and printed it. Then they told me we'll it's really a car... I told them I needed a picture. They sent me a picture and I told them, "No effing way" I can't make that. 3 days later after finding a CAD .step file of a car I could edit the chassis on, my first model was ready for printing. 3 weeks later they asked of I could make it a bank and how much to make 50 of them. Thinking it was a joke I told them $2000.00 US. A week later a check was in my mailbox. Below are some photos I found of my first model design and building adventure.

Holy moly, this is quite the project! How long did it take for you to print all of these? And how long did the assembly take? You surely don't do this on one Sunday afternoon...

I think I averaged 3 cars a day. I used 3 printers 24/7 I printed all the parts before starting assembly. I was recovering from a surgery at the time, and working my day job at the same time.

Thats was a great ride from a tracktor to a hotrod. You have done a great job.

The assembly was pretty quick for the most part everything will work friction fit except the dash board, headlights, and exhaust tips. I still decided to glue them parts together with e6000. Exhaust tips I heat welded. I didn't paint or sand anything on the models for post processing.
