Greetings to all, and to all HELLO!

On May 6th, I am moving from Oregon to Arkansas. I am going to be taking care of my aunt (who lives alone and is dealing with various health issues).
I know that it is going to be an interesting change for me on many levels. However, when the "call for help" comes from family, I answer that call. Not only that but, I am always up for new and interesting challenges.

So, with that being said, whilst I am moving to Arkansas and getting asstablished there, (for the most part) I will be "offline" (concerning the forum) for an extended period of time. I will be popping in and out (as it were) every once in a while, though. However, I will be (for the most part) unavailable. If you are having problems with the forum as a whole (or with your account), please contact @zathros. He will be able to fix any issues.

Thank you.

Good Luck! There will be difficulties, but I have found that by manning up to the call that you will get quite a bit out of it. Post some pics here so we can see Arkansas!

not that I'm aware of. there are a lot of festivals year round all through the state. A lot of them have hotrod and restored car shows, but not models.
a few years ago Memphis had an annual model show, but I haven't heard anything about it since 2019

Safe Journeys my friend. I answered the call of family nearly 6 years ago now, My older 1\2 brother was having issues with his landlord, and none of my other relatives believed him. He called my crying, and asked me to come get him, before the rest of the family had him committed.
That was the first time I had seen him cry since our mother died.

he's been renting a room from me since.

I had a friend who moved to Arkansas. He came back after around 5 years. Her told me that you can get away with just about anything, depending on what "Hollow" you live in. He wandered into Hollows (that's what they call certain areas), and some were racist as all , and they next one over is completely normal, (whatever that means). He came back to Connecticut. It's a beautiful state, much more easy going than the Northeast. Just don't go too rural, it can get scary fast. 90% poverty rate in those rural towns in that state. Some of the most beautiful country and mountains, valleys, you'll ever see. :)
