And to answer some questions:
The layout is an "L" shaped layout that is rather crammed into a small bedroom. I don't know the exact size of it, but the scale is N. We do plan to put some rocks there on the mountainside, but the ones we made weren't mixed well and started to crumble. We'll re-do them next session, if we get to that.
Here's a view of the corner we put the mountain in. The foam is Woodland Scenics Risers and Inclines and the track is Atlas Code 55. The power is Digitrax DCC with a DCS 100 command station and a DB150 booster for the reverse section (a section of track in this picture, not sure which one).
