*chuckles* Wow, I didn't know that many of you guy's were that young. Yall took me by surprise. I thought TruckLover had to be in his late 20's early 30's just judging by his layout lol. I'm an 85'er myself. Somehow I may still be young but man am I really starting to feel old. I guess that's what work does to ya! :D

hehehehhe thanks KCS

Sorry, I'm not sure I'm understanding you here. Just to clarify, my post that you quoted was in reference to some spam that had been posted in the thread and there was some other member's reference to the spam. I removed both. I guess I should have removed my post as well since the spam was removed. There wasn't any issue of disagreement over points of view. The reference to clicking on the bad post icon is about the little red triangle icon in the lower left of each post window. If you see spam or a post that seems problematic we ask that you click on that icon. This alerts the moderating staff to take a look and act if needed. Members cannot remove a post by clicking on the icon.

Did I clear that up or am I missing your point?

Ralph

Ralph no disrepect but it I think it went over peoples heads sorry.
My posting was not for deleting the message.
It involves deleting the idiots who see a problem ( from their point of view in everything:cry:) & spammers who demand the world conform to their ideas.

I am very happy to see the number of younger people involved in this hobby.
Those of us who remember steam locomotives constituting the majority of engines are happy to see the legacy carried on. Looks like this great hobby will be around for some time to come!
That was the point of the poll (no matter who did a lousy job of setting it up.) :eek:ops: :eek:ops: :eek:ops:

I too was surprised at the number of youg(er) people who enjoy the hobby. That should keep it going strong. I'm in the downhill side, 11/52.

Waaait a minute... the originally missing 1985-90 category was added at the bottom, but now they're in order. And it highlights "after 2000" as what I voted for! I was 1985-90.

Don, I just took a close look at the poll and noticed that either you or Peter fixed it. Thanks for making me not look like quite as much as a dufas. :v8: Thanks
Uhhh, I didn't, so it must have been either Mikey or Peter. That took a bit of work because they would have to move each selection down one and the vote tabs with them to squeeze that in between.

And yeah, it may look like you voted for the wrong thing, but I believe your vote was moved along with it. I think the computer still has you indexed to the position in the poll. We can move things around along with the number of votes, we just cannot change the index. Sorry about that...

Well, I've been REALLY busy lately but I'm fixing to have to drop and put everything on hold, so no trains for good long while. I got excepted to Prime Inc so I'm goin' truck drivin'. Should be done with training and back home around September, maybe sooner. I'm gonna try and buy a laptop so I can keep up with everything while I'm on the road but it'll be a while before I'll be able to. Remember, we love train's, but if you got it, a truck brought it! :D

Besides the laptop, you should invest in a small Z scale. I have seen 'em for sale, complete with briefcase and scenery for ~$150. Set it up in the passenger seat and let 'er run while you drive along.

Or... take along your best engine/rolling stock and a 3 ft piece of track then take pics from all over the US as you hit the sights.

There's you train and in the back ground we see the St. Louis arch, Space Needle, LAX Funky Terminal, Las Vegas at night...

Aye. Well, truck's ride so rough it would never stay on the track, much less in the seat. Yea, I think once I'm in my own truck, I'll take some thing's along to work on during my 34 hour log book reset. I tried doing it once while getting loaded at a shipper and the truck bounced around so much I only screwed up. I was thinking about turing the whole top bunk into a switching layout on foam so I could remove it easily from the truck if I ever have to swap trucks.

For something back on topic, I'll be 23 on the 25th of May so I won't be home for my birthday. Oh well, this will be the best birthday present I have ever gotten or given myself! :thumb:

Around here, once someone gets their CDL, they are constantly called for hauling steers/hay/sheep/whatever... My wife's cousin got hers to drive the school bus in a very rural area, now she gets called almost every other day with requests to help taking stock to the Tuesday markets. Extra income, though...

Good luck, and take care... there are some crazies out there.

'Nuff said.

That is good and made me feel younger.

I only lie about my age, don't ask. lol

All I will say is that I look a little younger than I am, but feal a lot older. :wave:wall1

Age, is relative.
People often ask me how it is that I can model such realistic scenery.......
I usually tell them that I built the architectural model for the prototype.

I'm not claiming to be old,...but when the command "Let there be light" thundered across the darkness, it was the switch I wired, that was thrown to illuminate all things.

For those who subscribe to the "big bang" theory? I did use an exceptional quantity of high explosives, and a simple, plunger activated, detonator.

Yes, age is relative. Not particularly funny, but relative none the less.

I remember when I turned 18 and thought it was soooooo cool. Than 21 and that was even cooler. Till I got a dui............Not cool at all. At least no one got hurt. I did hit a tree, but it was a really big one and hurt my car. I have not owned a car since.
