how goodare

I'm not familiar with Atlas' turnouts in the smaller scales, but I did forego their use in my new HO layout as a result of previous experience. I understand they've improved since then, and it's also true that there are better turnouts to be had. So it may be a question of how deep your pocketbook is...

P.D. Is that Trinity, NM..?

nope i live north carolina trinity is close to highpoint its where the furniture market is held every year and thanks for your input on the turnouts ive only got 200 right now to sink in to the layout thanks zachary

I went with the Atlas Custom on most of my layout. I have a couple of Peco turnouts, but for the additional price, I personally don't see any difference. The peco are spring loaded, but I had to remove the springs when using them with Tortoise Switch Machines.

Thanks everyone i am thankful for all of your help i have decied to use the atlas code 55 are there any thing i should be awere of thanks zachary f
The only caveat I can think of is that one of my #5 turnouts had the guard rail gapped a bit wide,
causing the wheels to ride up on the frog. A bit of filing with a nailfile(!) took care of the problem.
I have heard of others having this same problem with some of the #5s but not on the #7s.
I think that, overall, they are just fine.
