:eek::eek::eek:

WOW a lot of collecting/modeling going on here, I now no longer feel like an odd ball for collecting toy cars of 40's and 50's cars also have a few modern semis as well.

Mine are 1:64 thru 1:32 will get some photos up soon:thumb:

Just a teaser I have a 1959 Cadillac, 3 Thunder birds, 58 Edsel and a bunch of dodge power wagons and the most unusual is a chrysler turbine convertible and many others as well:cool:

Also, my latest build - not sure how it's going to work out, but it's a 1:87 version of the Bluth Company Stair Car from the show Arrested Development

Junkyard Packard Motor progress

The V12 motor for the 34 Packard is about done. All it needs now is a distributer, starter, & some plugs & wires on one side. And of course to be cut off its "tree" . Oh, almost forgot, they had a big oil filler tube on the drivers side , thats a must.

Found the perfect wheels!!

I finally found just what I need to build rims to fit the O-ring tires.
Found 2 things actually , both have a perfect "lip' to be the edge of the rim.
one is a 10/24 or 10/32 thin metal"anchor nut" the other is part of the insulator on a 10-12 guage wire terminal. The anchor nut just needs to be cut to proper width, but the terminal must have the lip filed down a bit as it's a bit thick.
The centers are made from the aluminum of a disposable baking tin.
I think that for HO scale a 8/32 nut & a 16-14 ( blue) terminal would be about the right size.

I still have a couple of Micro-Machines amoured vehicles that I used for flat car loads when I was into N scale. They were painted in wild bright colored camo paint, but a can of Testors Model Master "Forest Green" took care of that. That was before the Army started painting everything Desert Sand

I guess there are alot more options out there for N scale than I thought there was.

I won a Caterpillar 920 wheel loader in 1/50 scale today off ebay since I collect a few others than HO. I figured I needed a beavertail trailer to haul it and my backhoes around. I dont have a truck, but the trailer is a start. Here are some pictures.
