Ho Scale Trestle Bents

how far apart should i put the Trestle Bents? I was thinking of 2 inchs apart will this be to far apart? The Trestle is 26 inchs long

I've built several trestles from kits. The bents have all been approximately 1.5"-2" on center. That's about 10'-15' in HO.

My guess was about 12'..........OK, I'm just a little left of center.
