Seems a huge shame that some of the best moderators, not to mention senior members of THE Gauge are all leaving at the same time....thanks for nothing Crowdgatherers, or should I shay Crowddispersers????
I read Tompm's goodbye and he mentioned Crowdgatherers rule. Anybody know what that is ? Seems to have something to do with this.

Lets keep this train movin guys! New management or not, WE are the ones who have made the site what it is, and WE need to keep it up.
Actually, I think they are the ones who made it great.
I don't understand. The mods are volunteers. As far as I know, there is no compensation for being a mod.
Why should there be a rule against being a mod on several forums?

The-gauge is a fancy name. Not fancy enough to pack up and move on though. I believe the new place will be much better.
If this site had a marketing department, the man running it is a programer and doesn't know how to fundraise. Its a shame as I even talked to him about it and he showed me the the door.
There is a set of rules - on CG's site... that they have said will be posted soon in all forums that they own.... one of the many rules is: that we, as staff here. can not be moderators here and on competing (railroad themed) sites. A lot of the staff have always been mods on other sites.....
.... shame... But you'll notice that almost every Mod that has resigned has pledged that they will stay here as Members .. so it's great for the forum at least![]()

I just hope those promisises aren't like the ones your old girlfriend said right after she broke up with you....."but there's no reason we still can't be friends..."
