Hello Guys,
Some ten years ago I have restarted motorcycling, which was a turning point in my life. After years of hard work in building my carrier I allowed myself some private time. With the years came other old "activities" like biking, hiking, reading (just for fun, not professional things), and some new as well. Now it seems it's time for scale modelling - feels to me some kind of new years resolution, but thorough as I am I already researching the topic for days now.
Done the usual "primitive" plastic and paper stuff in childhood, which was available decades ago in the Eastern block - maybe my greatest achievement was a properly painted Tu-154 with LEDs in the wings, fuselage. Now, thanks to the internet, there are much more options available.
I've decided paper for now as it seems to be more free than plastic, and requires less investment to start with (although I have some later plans for plastic too).
The idea is to start with Yamaha's UR models as first serious project (after some finger practice of course), then some Eastern block vehicles (see eg Agromodels from CZ: like the IFA W50 and Zetor models), but I am also an avid sci-fi fan, so Uhu-san's models are in the plan as well (the guy seems to one of the greatest...).
Even I've already found some readings on the topic advice on how-to, techniques is always welcome.
