Hi, I must admit that I joined because I found some old discussions/forums about Uhu02's work^^. I made my first (and until now only) papercraft model two years ago (Jim Bowen's Firefly model, see pictures if I manage to attach themXD). My son, 1 year old at that time, liked it very much and Serenitys destiny was sealed and fullfilled in no time^^.
Last week we bought a printer and I remembered my little and short dive into paper modeling. So I searched the web for the stuff I found two years ago and stumbled across fantastic models (Uhu's and others) and I really want to try it out again.

I tend to do my free time things in phases (don't know how to express in English). Two weeks I'm totally focused in worldbuilding/drawing maps, two weeks playing -insert video game-, two weeks mixing music recordings, two weeks trying painting figures/models/minis. If you know what I mean.
I have two bands, work, family (wife and son). That means I don't know when and what I will paper craft but I already gathered a few templates that I want to try out soon! And will try to post some of it here at zealot.

EDIT: I managed to attach the pics. that model was so tiny. It was crazy but fun

The Serenity model looks GREAT! Even at such a small scale, it appears to have greebling potential.

Greebling is adding as much as possible details on a model without makung the model ugly.

That is a very good question. Yes, it is adding smaller parts or (in pertaining to paper/cardstock model building) laminating parts in order to make printed texture into physical texture. Greebling a model enhances and augments the overall look of a model.

The easiest way is to print multiple copies of the kit parts, cut out plates and small detail pieces and laminate them onto the model. You can also fabricate your own enhancements by making additional parts in 3D and add them as well like seat belts, knobs, levers and such if those don't already come with the kit or if the ones available look too simplistic to you.

let's see. I mean with just one model two years back I now start from the beginning more or less. I will take my time and see what kind of level I will achieve in the end. But I already have some models in the lookout as presents for friends. That is a good motivation to keep going and to aquire skill

When I am ready one day I probably like to build the king of lions from loz Wind Waker for a friend. Alternative to this would be a pikachu because he is crazy about that mon^^
For another friend millenium falcon, maybe the blue one or the original, from the old movies I mean. Or x-wing, lets see.

But first for me and for skill: small serenity again, bg vipers (beautiful models). And I forgot: the Eagle 5 (was it called like that?), Lone Stars good old ship from Space Balls! (as a gift for my father probably^^)
