I pefectly agree with DBK! Your work doesn't seem to be made from separate pieces, it looks like it was one sculpted block. Superclean! thumbsup

I believe that is true. A machine will not run itself, it takes a master machinist. Wood will just lay there, till a master carpenter comes along and makes something out of it. On a fishing ship, the captain, master of his craft, keeping logs that represent years of places that fish have been congregating. Even the guy who baits the hooks, the "masturb.............well, maybe he's just the guy who puts the bait on the hooks in a professional matter.
The model is only as good as the person who builds it otherwise its just a piece of cardboard.
This is really looking great. You are doing a fantastic job. I've got a special interest in your build because I'm building my own version of the Mark IX Hawk from Space: 1999 and guess what kind of rocket the engines come from...

In the future when making this model, be careful of the following...of course if this kind of think doesn't bother you then don't worry about it.
There are some gaps when placing the thrust chamber together. to avoid this just measure your strips down and cut appropriately. That should leave a fairly seamless join.

This next piece is one I have had problems with in the past and just not sure if I am doing it wrong but I came up with a sort of fix on the fly. It's not 100%, but what is these days? In the instructions, it's very vague on this so if anyone else has had a similar problem try this. Basically, when assembling parts 25,26,27 the end result is too tall.They give spacers for part 25 which is 25A but it is precisely part 25 that is making it too tall and I need more part 17 (to be added later to level these bad boys out 
) So, I cut a hole in the top fold or part 27 and I cut a hole out of part 25 then insert the rounded part 26 into this. It does make it lower but not enough yet. I suppose I could completely cut a hole through part 27 but then you would lose some of the detail visibility of 26 and 25. So, with less rambling, here is how I did it.

Now the detailing, add wires and some other bits and pieces this is slow going but looks really good when finished.
Some more fun. In the future it would be nice if these were more three dimensional. I think it would really be a nice touch to the rockets.

I know what you are thinking and your right, why haven't you made a whole bunch of tiny tubes yet? Well, the simple answer is the model didn't call for them yet. But here to satiate your appetite a bunch of tiny tubes.
And here it is, the F1 engine all nice and finished. Now just one more to build and then I will start on the thrust structure.
