I mannaged to find some scans I made of the turret parts of my previous effort, so i printed them out and had a bit of a practice.
...I've altered the green colour to grey, as aparently the green is wrong, but I think the grey maybe a bit dark. Anyone with a reference for the 'propper" colour? I've just done the change with acrylic paint, as I'm not that clever with computers. I've softened the edges with a bit of a wash, and used a matched light grey/blue paint mix to blank out the printed on ladders (to be replaced with etch).
The whole thing is a tad gappy/messy but i'm pleased with the result.
Now i just have to wait until I can afford to buy the model again. a couple of weeks, hopefuly.
*edit* had quick look about the interweb, and the colours seem about right, maybe just a *bit* dark. It would aslo seem that GPMs pattern is also incorrect, but probably not worth the effort to fix. Who's gunna know, anyway? close enough for me.
